2024 Christmas Dog Treat Recipe

Try making these tasty festive peanut butter, pumpkin, and cinnamon treats for your dog this Christmas.

Ingredients:

250g pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie flling)

250g cup natural peanut butter(make sure it's xylitol-free)
240g wholemeal four(or a gluten-free alternative)

½ teaspoon cinnamone

¼ cup water (as needed)

Instructions

1.Preheat your oven to 175°C(350°F).

2. In a large bowl, combine thepumpkin puree and peanutbutter. Mix until smooth.

3.Gradually add the wholemealflour and cinnamon, mixing until a dough forms. lf the doughis too dry, add a little water, atablespoon at a time, until itcomes together.

4. Lightly flour your work surfaceand roll out the dough to about1/4 inch thick.

5, Use cookie cutters to cutout shapes. You can use festiveshapes like trees, stars, holly orgingerbread men!

6.Place the cut-out treats ona baking sheet lined withparchment paper. Bake for 20--25 minutes, or until they aregolden brown and firm.

7.Allow the treats to cool completely on a wire rack before giving them to your dog.

Store the treats in an airtight container for up to a week. You can also freeze them for longer storage!
